Research
As a first step into this project, I must get my research done. And that includes looking into the client, Sunderland Culture, my target audience, the field of what my product will be about, followed by many more sectors.
Client Research
Having to look into my client, this was a more difficult task than it should have been. Aiming to find as much as I could, from all of the useful information I could find that were about the charity all came from the same source. That source being the official Sunderland Culture website.
And not just that, but for the few questions I would have liked to have been answered, were all really difficult to uncover. Wanting to find when the idea for the charity had originated as well as how and why exactly 'Sunderland Culture' became a thing, I wasn't able to succeed with that research.
From what I was able to gather though, you will find the Word document holding that research embedded below:
Knowing that it is a short film I am wanting to work on for this project, a better understanding of the product is needed. With this document, I would locate interesting enough short films and analyse them. Gathering ideas for what I could take and use through the production of my upcoming title, see how media theory had been interpretated into each product, and even make note of what I wouldn't like to include in my short film.
Not just that, but a poster for one of the shorts were also analysed with me wanting to also create one for my title as a second product for this project.
To get to know my primary audience better, a survey had been created through Google Forms and sent around to a few people that I could rely on with taking part. Once their answers had been submitted, this word document had been put together allowing me to analyse and get a better understanding of where my audience's interests and preferences lie.
