Evaluation

Gathering my final thoughts on the entire project, the evaluation has been written up. Using Microsoft Sway being the preferred method for this task due to its use of structure, you link will be uploaded below as always. B2_ Bright Lights Evaluation.pdf from AmyKilbride2 Thinking I wouldn't have had time to get on with the poster (as mentioned), and/or hear back from the guy helping me with the sound side of the final product, two drafts of the evaluation had been put together for just encase. The one above where none of that got done, then this one:  B2_ Bright Lights Evaluation (1).pdf from AmyKilbride2 Going through a lot with this project, it has only made me enjoy media and filming much more and look forward to making a start with the upcoming projects in Univeristy.

Poster

In preparation of this project, I did make a start on creating a fan based poster from scratch based on the book and movie, Pet Sematary. By doing this, I could gain practice and strengthen my skills ready to bring to this project. Doing a photoshoot with half of the editing done, the process of what I had managed to get done up to now had all been documented. Pet Sematary Photoshoot.pptx from AmyKilbride2 With it unfortunately uncomplete, my laptop at the time of doing this did break down causing me to lose the whole progress. Not having a clue as to what happened, I had never got around to restarting this project either. Still wanting to create a poster for my Sunderland Culture product, before the photoshoot a few prototypes have been put together allowing me to gather a rough idea of what I would like to create rather than jumping in clueless.  scan_20173679_2023-05-19-14-56-47.pdf from AmyKilbride2 Still going to mess around with the photoshoot so I am not restricting ...

Final Product and Feedback

Image
With the first draft for the short film, in this version there are no added tracks (minus the ringing of the bell). Mostly because this is the draft I had sent over to the sound people allowing them to do as they please with that whole aspect of the short film. Again, I don't get what is up with the quality, for some reason the videos always worsen once uploaded on to YouTube and I have no idea how to solve that.  Besides from that, to give the sound guy time to get together his version of the soundtrack, the next draft will be my version. Using Pixabay mostly to gather to the music bits as that is the most I can do on my own. But with that, at least I have a version ready to go if the freelance composer doesn't get back to me in time with the sound bits he had created for the short. Alongside that, any bits I find that need patching up I will do the best I can there. Having the second draft ready, before uploading it onto YouTube I will use up the YouTube premium free trial to...

Post-Production

As you will know from the Production diary itself, I did have to combine both the production stage and the post-production due to lack of time, and just to get everything done sooner rather than later. And considering the amount of time it had taken to get filming complete, it is a decision I am thankful with myself for taking. Having a separate diary to document the editing process, here it is: Post-production diary.docx from AmyKilbride2 For how long I have been working on the post production, it feels wrong to be done with this part of the project already. With more to wait on before the editing is complete, the editing update that will be based on the audience feedback that will be talked through in the following blog.

Production

Writing out the whole production process for this project in a word document, that will be uploaded below being the only thing I need to submit onto this blog. Production diary.docx from AmyKilbride2 Taking much longer than expected with the filming, as much fun as it was getting on with the production, I am more than glad to have it all completely done now ready for me to get on with finishing up on the editing and moving on from there. As mentioned there are parts I wish I could go back a re-shoot, but due to the hassle it has been with getting everyone together without a fuss it would be difficult to do again I imagine especially with the limited time we have left. Another thing I would like to share actually, is the script after shooting. With the notes and changes made to it, you can see a lot had went into the filming of each shot. script after production.pdf from AmyKilbride2 Using an image to pdf app I had to use when publishing my coursework on my first year of college, the ...
